Regalia Fabrics Linen has always been my first love when it comes to clothing. It is the core fabric of my basic line. It breathes in the summer, launders beautifully, lasts like iron, and is a joy to sew with. Since all the linens are washed before I cut, the clothes are pre-shrunk when you get them. I recommend washing in cold water to retain color, then a mild-cycle tumble with medium heat. If you hate to iron take them out while they are still damp, hang them up, and there will be fewer wrinkles. I keep a tight rein on my palette so colors will work with each other. Although I carry several neutrals, my real love is color, rich and saturated, and I don’t stock anything that won’t match at least three other colors. As with the linens, I let my love of color choose what I offer. Many of the silks are woven with two colors to give them a shimmering richness, and look beautiful as a Capri Blouse or Takara Jacket. Wool Melton is like a heavyweight felt, and makes a wonderful cozy carcoat. All silks and wools are dry-clean only. Even the best technology would still not capture the richness of any of these colors, so I recommend you browse through, and make a list of your favorites.
